I am so fascinated with all the variety of palm trees and how their graceful silhouettes dance against a royal blue sky in most parts of the southern hemisphere that I am just drawn to paint them - over and again. Something about how the light flickers through the fronds, even when they're backlit. These beauties all looked to me like they were trying to touch that sky, and that's why the name.
