This is a beautiful little spot on the Oregon coast and while I don't know it's *official* name, I call it that because there was an eagle perched right in that tree. Dusk, Haystack Rock

Another beautiful view of one of my favorite places on the Oregon Coast. This painting gave me fits for a while and I finally had to set it aside for a while until the solution came to me. I Wanted to convey that still colorful but in a low-key-gray-sort-of-way that only comes as dusk settles on over the coast. I finally got it and am very satisfied with the result. "Dusk" is 8" x 24" on gallery wrapped canvas.

"Haystack Rock, Looking South" 8" x 24"

This, one of two pieces completed of Haystack Rock just out of Cannon Beach, Oregon. More of that beautiful Oregon Coast. I seem to be stuck in this rut, but I cherish that incredible coastline so much and feel the need to capture it on canvas. This is an interestingly long format for this painting. I chose it because I wanted to get all of the gorgeous reflections in and this worked well for it, I think. Don't you? It's on gallery wrapped stretched canvas, so no frame is needed, but can certainly be added if you wish.

"Oregon Coast, Cannon Beach Beauty"

This painting is of a lovely little seaside community on the Oregon Coast, Cannon Beach. It's a bit busier than some of the other seaside villages a little further south, but lovely nonetheless. There is a myriad of shops and fascinating art galleries to see. Well worth the time to visit if you're ever in Oregon. The large stack in the distance is called "Haystack Rock" because of its obvious shape. There are seven of the stacks further on down the coast. Of course they don't have this distinctive shape, which of course how it got its name.

"Oregon Coast, Lincoln City"

Here's another painting from my trip to the beautiful Oregon Coast. This one is of a gorgeous little cove near Lincoln City. We rented a small cottage very near the beach. Took moonlight strolls and listened to the roar of the ocean while barbecuing steaks on the deck. Ahhh, what a life, eh? I'd love to move there if given half a chance.
