"Fog At Ruby Beach - 12" x 16" Oil on canvas

The highway near Forks hugs the Pacific coastline and offers some of our area's most stunning views. This is our famous Ruby Beach. It offers a dramatic combination of bleached driftwood and rock formations knows as Seastacks. The entire scene is shrouded in the early morning fog that usually hangs around til afternoon. When the fog lifts, you can see as far as your imaginatino can take you.

A beautiful shot of a beautiful spot is what inspired this painting. Ruby Beach is one of the most visited on our coast. It's in the northernmost area of the coastline, near Mora campground just out of Forks, WA. Its sister beach is named Rialto Beach and is just to the south of this one.

This painting is not for sale at this time as it has been reserved for a show opening on June 21st. More info? Email me here.

Dusk, Haystack Rock

SOLD
Another beautiful view of one of my favorite places on the Oregon Coast. This painting gave me fits for a while and I finally had to set it aside for a while until the solution came to me. I Wanted to convey that still colorful but in a low-key-gray-sort-of-way that only comes as dusk settles on over the coast. I finally got it and am very satisfied with the result. "Dusk" is 8" x 24" on gallery wrapped canvas.

This painting will be in the Edmonds Art Walk for June (June 21st is opening night) at the Horizon Bank. I'll be there, so if you are in the area, please do stop in and say hello - enjoy hors d'oevres and wine. I hope to see you.

"Northwest Ballet" 10" x 20"

Northwest Coastal waves just out of Forks, Washington resulted in this oil on 10" x 20" canvas. It's in gorgeous deep greens and grays so typical of our wonderful Pacific Northwest. Oftimes the waves here come crashing to shore, other times they just gently roll in. Whichever view - it's always a gorgeous choreography of Mother Nature. $350. Tiny Little Treasures

Here are two tiny paintings priced just right for that spot where a larger work wouldn't fit! Both are from photos I've taken of my beloved Northwest. Each painting is $75 unframed. They are painted on gallery wrapped canvas, but I am displaying them here framed ,as personally I think at this miniature size, they look better framed. You can either purchase your own ready made frame, or I am happy to do it for you. They run less than $40 each. They also look amazing in a much wider frame, letting the beauty of the miniature be showcased by a wide border of beautiful framing. The choice is yours! "Heceta Head Lighthouse" 8" x 16"

The name of this 1894 lighthouse comes from the Spanish explorer Don Bruno de Heceta. It rises 205 feet above the Pacific Ocean and offers spectacular views to visitors from the top. It is located about 12 miles north of Florence right off Highway 101. Well, this one will be fun to finish! This is going to be a painting of one of Oregon's most famous lighthouses, Heceta Head. However, since the lighthouse itself is so far in the distance, I am painting a companion piece the same size as a close up of the lighthouse alone, but vertical (and it's small too, just 8 x 16") Will post that one later. This lighthouse has a beautiful hike up to it and is SO worth it when you get out to the point. It is an incredible view of the entire coast, as far as the eye can see. They've also opened a B & B on the property. I've never stayed there, but I'll have to put it no my list of 'things to do' because this spot is a must-see! Click to see a larger up-close view of the painting. This painting is for sale for $175 US funds, s/h included. Click the 'buy now' button to be taken to Paypal to buy it now. "Oregon Coast, Cannon Beach Beauty"

This painting is of a lovely little seaside community on the Oregon Coast, Cannon Beach. It's a bit busier than some of the other seaside villages a little further south, but lovely nonetheless. There is a myriad of shops and fascinating art galleries to see. Well worth the time to visit if you're ever in Oregon. The large stack in the distance is called "Haystack Rock" because of its obvious shape. There are seven of the stacks further on down the coast. Of course they don't have this distinctive shape, which of course how it got its name.
This painting is 12 x 24" on gallery-wrapped canvas and is for sale for $390. Click on the buy now button to purhase through Paypal or email me for other arrangements.

"Oregon Coast, Lincoln City"

Here's another painting from my trip to the beautiful Oregon Coast. This one is of a gorgeous little cove near Lincoln City. We rented a small cottage very near the beach. Took moonlight strolls and listened to the roar of the ocean while barbecuing steaks on the deck. Ahhh, what a life, eh? I'd love to move there if given half a chance. That could come to pass one day, maybe. This painting is 8" x 16" on gallery-wrapped canvas and can provide you with your own 'roar of the ocean' with a purchase of just $175 US funds. You can pay now by clicking on the 'buy now' button.
