"Heceta Head Lighthouse" 8" x 16"

The name of this 1894 lighthouse comes from the Spanish explorer Don Bruno de Heceta. It rises 205 feet above the Pacific Ocean and offers spectacular views to visitors from the top. It is located about 12 miles north of Florence right off Highway 101. Well, this one will be fun to finish! This is going to be a painting of one of Oregon's most famous lighthouses, Heceta Head. However, since the lighthouse itself is so far in the distance, I am painting a companion piece the same size as a close up of the lighthouse alone, but vertical (and it's small too, just 8 x 16") Will post that one later. This lighthouse has a beautiful hike up to it and is SO worth it when you get out to the point. It is an incredible view of the entire coast, as far as the eye can see. They've also opened a B & B on the property. I've never stayed there, but I'll have to put it no my list of 'things to do' because this spot is a must-see! Click to see a larger up-close view of the painting. This painting is for sale for $175 US funds, s/h included. Click the 'buy now' button to be taken to Paypal to buy it now.
