I painted a companion piece to the named Ruby Beach After the Fog, and thought I'd post them both here together to show what a beautiful pairing they make. These are each 5 x5" on gallery wrapped canvas, so no frame needed, but can be used if desired. I'm happy to frame for you for a slight additional charge. I think they really make a nice statement, side by side. The fog settles in and stays til about noon, then it clears off so beautifully bathing the entire area in sunshine during the summer! is a 5" x 5" oil on gallery wrapped canvas. I love this place so much, and have painted it more than once in more than one of its many moods. Usually the fog lingers here a bit - until afternoon. Oftimes though, it stays all day casting a soft, beautiful glow over the whole area. This is very near Forks Washington

"Fog At Ruby Beach - 12" x 16" Oil on canvas

The highway near Forks hugs the Pacific coastline and offers some of our area's most stunning views. This is our famous Ruby Beach. It offers a dramatic combination of bleached driftwood and rock formations knows as Seastacks. The entire scene is shrouded in the early morning fog that usually hangs around til afternoon. When the fog lifts, you can see as far as your imaginatino can take you.

A beautiful shot of a beautiful spot is what inspired this painting. Ruby Beach is one of the most visited on our coast. It's in the northernmost area of the coastline, near Mora campground just out of Forks, WA. Its sister beach is named Rialto Beach and is just to the south of this one.
