This is an old antique copper cream can that I've had forever. I love painting it and trying to find new ways to depict it. This one works, I think. Peaches just appeared in the supermarket recently, and I couldnt resist the opportunity to try my hand at painting them. Artists always seem to have such interesting objects to paint. This cream can is a good example. I especially like the way the red resonates on both the animate and inanimate objects.
I love your still life paintings Colleen. The cream can looks so vibrant against the darker background.
